In 1992, Dr. T. Nirmal Fredrick started Nirmals’ Eye Hospital in Tambaram, Chennai, driven by a simple yet profound vision: to make quality eye care accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic background.
Through dedication and an unwavering commitment to patient care, the hospital grew steadily. In 2001, we moved to our own premises, marking a significant milestone in our journey. The dream reached new heights on 16th July 2006 when we inaugurated our own hospital building — a state-of-the-art facility designed to deliver world-class eye care.
Today, Nirmals’ Eye Hospital stands as a NABH-accredited tertiary eye care institution, having served over 3 lakh patients and performed more than 75,000 successful surgeries. What began in two rooms has blossomed into a beacon of hope for countless individuals seeking to restore their vision.

Introduced Phacoemulsification cataract surgery. Started outreach activities and community eye camps.
Launched Nivedha Vision Trust for charitable eye camps and subsidized care for underprivileged communities.
Moved to our own building. Crossed 25,000 surgery patients milestone — a testament to growing patient trust.
